Note: Whites records William Perfect at Church Green but does not give a number. The Census return for 1871 does not have any reference to a William Perfect in Southwold. However William Perfect, age 21,a rope manufacturer, was lodging in Victoria Street, Southwold, in 1861 and, in 1871, age 31, he was living in Saxmundham, married with two daughters and working as a twine spinner.
